Meredith Beenen, LCSW

Dedicated to helping moms in any stage of motherhood feel supported every step of the way.

My Approach

I started The Mom Village Project to support maternal mental health across every stage of motherhood, from trying to conceive and pregnancy, through postpartum, early parenting, and the ongoing mental and emotional load of raising children. With options for education, connection, and personalized one-on-one support, I recognize that every mom’s experience is different. I’m here to help you build the tools and community you need to feel supported and less alone as you navigate the emotional realities of motherhood. Come as you are; I am here for you.

Find Your Village

Maternal mental health support isn’t one-size-fits-all. At The Mom Village Project, I offer in-person therapy in Ridgefield, Connecticut or virtually, as well as prenatal education classes, and postpartum support groups so you can build a village that meets your needs in whatever season of motherhood you are in.

About Me

I’m Meredith Beenen, LCSW and a mom of two who specializes in supporting maternal mental health. I’ve been in the trenches of motherhood, myself—having my patience, sense of self, identity, and energy pushed to their limits. That lived experience shapes how I show up for the moms I support. That said, I know that no two motherhood journeys look the same. Your experience is uniquely yours, and my role is to meet you exactly where you are. Together, we’ll tailor support that fits your needs, your values, and the season of motherhood you’re in.

My approach to therapy is multidimensional and collaborative, blending cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, and a strengths-based lens. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, resilient, confident, and better able to enjoy your life, your relationships, and yourself—both as a mom and as a whole person.

I received my Master of Social Work from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities in 2015 and have completed Perinatal Mental Health Training from Postpartum Support International. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Connecticut.

Meredith Beenen, LCSW

“They say it takes a village to raise a child, and it’s true—motherhood was never meant to be a solo journey. No mom should have to go it alone, because the truth is, it’s not just hard for you—it’s just hard. Building a supportive community can make all the difference, and that’s why we’re here: to help you find your village and navigate motherhood together.”
